During my time at the Agrarian University I met another student who went on to study and specialize in the medicinal properties of native Perúvian plants and in particular, Maca root. My life consists of a very active schedule and I have a need for a lot of extra energy. I am involved with show jumping, dressage training and endurance as well as trying to run 5 miles per day. I also have an active practice as a nutritionist and am the mother of 2. Because of wanting to find a natural way to increase my stamina, I contacted my old friend to see what he might have in mind. NINA FOGELMAN Nina lived in Peru during the 1980’s and was Director of an alternative healing arts institute with a successful private practice as well. Her life with horses started in adulthood but she quickly made up for lost time. Since 1989, Nina has been an avid recreational rider. She and her horse M.T, a retired Standardbred have been together for 16 years. MT is an ex-harness racer and has since proven to be a wonderful recreational riding and driving horse. At 21, he still enjoys a 25 mile endurance ride under saddle and in harness with ease. Nina has been involved with equine rescue, and has always been conscientious about what is best to keep horses in top form as well as being in top health and totally happy. During one of her many visits to Peru, Maggie showed her the new product she had formulated and had been using on horses. Nina knew that this was to be a major step ahead for the horse world. They decided there and then to start preparing to bring this formula out of Peru and make it available for everyone. Octavio has dedicated over 10 years of his life studying in intense research with these plants and his passion is now a very serious commitment. He has lived in the native communities to learn their secrets, and live their simple life. Through his dedication and experimentation, and combining his close relationships with the Agrarian University Scientists who specialize in these crops he was able to develop a method for producing a maca of maximum potency.

He raised certain livestock (humanely); mostly goats, sheep, trout, and experimented daily with supplementation of the product. He also supplied neighboring agricultural communities with this product to see if it would help in improving their breeding.
